Worth every pennyFeb 11, 2010 I recently moved from a desktop to a laptop as my daily computer at work. The first week I struggled with neck pain caused by hunching over to look down at the screen. The Vertical Notebook stand raises the screen to the perfect height (completely adjustable) and makes it easy for me to us a full size keyboard and wireless mouse. No more neck pain and more space on my desk. If you use a laptop exclusively (at home or work), don't hesitate in giving this a try.
Saves space on desktopJan 31, 2010 This notebook stand holds my laptop securely, allows space for cords and cables, and is very well built. Great adjustability. Opens up more space on my desktop also.
Nice DesignJan 26, 2010 I purchased this stand for my new Studio XPS laptop. It's a nice design and it looks good on my desk. I have to use the top setting because my laptop doesn't swing open very far, but it is just enough for it to sit right. The bottom lip of the stand keeps the laptop from fully closing without lifting it up a bit but it does close enough to trigger sleep mode so it's OK. With a few design improvements this could be 100%.
Has completely changed my home officeOct 15, 2009 I have a IBM Thinkpad T400. I used to use a tilted-angel laptop stand, which would raise the laptop approximately 20 degrees. This worked for awhile, but after extended use I noticed neck problems from having my head tilted down all the time. I also noticed that I would regularly "lean in" to my monitor, since it would be so far from my keyboard.
I searched the web for laptop stands and man, is there a lot of junk out there. But the 3M Vertical Notebook riser is the *perfect* stand for my office and my notebook.
Why? First, it supports an adjustable angle, but the angles are all WAY higher than what you find in typical stands. I have mine at nearly 80 degrees. This makes the monitor height exactly what it is supposed to be -- the top of my monitor is at eye level. And, it brings the monitor quite a few inches closer, to exactly its desired distance -- arm's length.
So now, my setup includes a split keyboard (goldtouch), a comfortable mouse, and the vertical riser. Finally, an ergonomic home desktop office that is powered by my notebook computer!
AwesomeSep 12, 2009 Very good, but be careful of the one lock screw. It is plastic and it is thin and bears a lot of weight. watch out. but product works great.
