Love it!Feb 04, 2010 It gets really nice and hot. I am black and it works great on getting my hair straight. The only thing is that the paint on the inside plates has started to chip a bit. I used to do my hair every week and then I thought I was getting kinda frail hair. Now I do it every two or three weeks and my hair looks really nice, majority of the time. (thats my fault though) Its only [..]bucks, I think its a pretty good deal for basically anyone.
Very Happy With ResultsDec 30, 2009 While growing up, my hair was the typical straight, coarse-thick asian hair. With age, I've noticed it has become wavy and a little on the frizzy side. I was visiting my family over the Christmas Holidays and my niece had a Andis Flat Iron. I knew that her hair was rather curly, much moreso than my own. I bought the Andis 1.5" flat iron at Wal-Mart. It was reasonably priced ($15.99). I used it today for the first time and it worked great! Nice, smooth, straight hair!! It doesn't take long to do either...I have layers in my hair so now you can see the texture of the layers as well. I highly recommend the Andis Flatiron 1.5"...works great at a very LOW price!

Awesome flat iron!Nov 17, 2009 This iron is so awesome! I can get my thick AA hair strait and I can curl it with the iron if I want. I paid 90 plus dollars for a sedu and solia. They did not even get my relaxed hair strait even on their highest settings. I can straiten my hair with the andis flat iron on the low setting and avoid heat damage. I love it because it gave me the best value for my dollar.

Cheap but not as good as other brandsJul 10, 2009 I had the original CHI flat iron which didn't have the different temperature adjustment so I was looking for another flat iron that allowed me to lower the temperature. I didn't want to spend that much money on another CHI and a friend of mine said she liked her $20 flat iron that she bought at Walmart so I thought I would give it a try. I thought CHI was expensive because of its brandname. I thought all ceramic flat irons are the same. However this Andis flat iron pulled on my hair. It hurt and I lost my hair too! I was curious how it could be different from a CHI, it was only a flat iron, couldn't be that complicated. How could the CHI ran so smooth on my hair but not this one. I looked and realized the ceramic plates on the CHI were flexible so they could turn in the direction of them going down your hair. The Andis' ceremic plates were rigid, they don't move at all so they pulls on your hair. That's the $90 difference! I had to go back to my orignal CHI and need to save money for the CHI Turbo which has the temperature adjustment.

Amazing product!!!!!!Apr 05, 2009 I have VERY thick, coarse, extremely tight spirally curls. I thought this product was not going to work, a friend from work INSISTED I borrow hers before going and buying the CHI which is what I had intended to do. Let me tell you, she saved me a lot of money. I love this, it works better then any flat iron I have ever owned. Since my hair is so thick and curly I had to blow dry my hair first but I used this iron with some Oil Sheen before straightening and it came out before then at a salon. I would totally recommend this product to friends and family and actually my sister went and got one today after seeing my hair lol.
