 Broken clip but my own faultNov 22, 2009
My company provided the BB and accessories so I am not sure I received the exact product described in these reviews, however besides the middle seam, my leather case looked and behaved exactly as described in these posts.
I got my BB 8830 in December 2008 and the holster performed perfectly until October 2009 when I accidently sheared off the belt clip by knocking it against the kitchen counter. I am ordering this product in the hope it will be equal or better quality that the one it is replacing.
Wearing your phone on your belt introduces inherent risks, like the one above. It is at exactly the same level as many daily obsticles (seatbelts, countertops, co-commuter's handbags, etc.).
I would recommend they replace the plastic pivot with a metal one. It looks like a lot of people have sheared the clip the same way I did.

This case works just as well as the original that came with my 8300 Blackberry. The fit is a little more snug than the original but this does not affect the performance.

This belt clip cannot withstand daily usage. While it is fashionable and stylish, the leather and plastic are not durable for daily activity. Avid, power users of their BlackBerry device will probably get two or three months of usage before it starts to fall apart. The emblem as well as the belt clip itself have come off after 3 months of what I would consider typical usage.
The problem is that this is your only stylish BlackBerry holster. It is a shame its quality is below expectations.

I've worn this holster for two weeks now and it's been great! I didn't want to write the review right away because I wanted to see if the clip would hold up. So far, it's been perfect. The holster is the best I've used on any cell phone I've ever had, the phone pops in and out SO easily and the magnet keeps it secure. I bought two of them because at the low price I was afraid it was going to break quickly but it's been FINE. And it's fun going past the brick and mortar stores seeing the same holder sold for $29.95 and up!
